Kass Urban-Mead

Instructor

Kass is a second-year PhD student at Cornell in the Entomology Department, where she studies pollination in apple orchards. She used to study honey bees, but quickly got way more excited about the 20,000 wild species so often overlooked, just hidden right in plain sight! Kass began thinking about "trees" for bees during her Master's, and COE has let her follow that dream -- to it's highest height & peakiest peak. Kass grew up raising 4H goats in the Hudson Valley, and can often be found on roller skates.
